Multidisciplinary

Artist

Based in Los Angeles, Seth Paradox, is an international filmmaker, actor, and artist. He works both in the independent and studio spheres. Collaboration is central to his work as an Artist and as an Art Midwife.

Who?

Seth Paradox is a multidisciplinary artist, trained in music and theater as a child, by his bluesman and actor Grandfather, and in writing, by his editor Mother. He trained in poetry, screenwriting, and playwrighting, as an undergrad, and in film and tv production, as a graduate.

Working as an Art Midwife, and learning from a range of professional artists, he further trained in collage, assemblage, animation, and sculpting.

At present, active in producing, writing, acting, and large-scale collage, he is additionally developing new forms of creation at the intersection of art and technology.

  • I create with the intention of celebrating and reflecting the best of ourselves and our world. Art, at its finest, brings us closer to the truth. My aim is to share art that is of real benefit and helps us all live with greater joy and ease.

  • All my visual art is in private ownership or in my own collection, at present; though, I am open to collaborating with gallerists.

Film projects are in development. Stay tuned.

    Other projects on the horizon.

  • All artist’s become pregnant with their works. An Art Midwife helps them through the process of birth. This can begin at the idea phase (even in planning how to “get pregnant”), or any other period in the gestation, and keep through to birth or post-partum phases.

Art Midwifery is a valuable resource for any creative person or collaborative group.

Feel free to inquire further about services or the practice itself.

  • I am most interested in the best short-form science-fiction writing these days. In my free time, I am loving finding creatures like octopus, newts, and bobcats with my nephew and sister. The book that is blowing my mind right now is The Light Eaters: How the Unseen World of Plant Intelligence Offers a New Understanding of Life on Earth, which is an incredible tour of the revolutionary science occurring today in Botany.

Stay tuned!
